Personal - Art - My Face

A good few hours procrastination this one was. For all the Benedict Cumberbatch fans out there. 
Finally got round to doing a painting of “Somewhere in Neverland” by All Time Low.  “Wendy run away with me, I know I sound crazy Don’t you see what you do to me? I want to be your lost boy. Your last chance. Your better reality. Somewhere in Neverland.”
Sketching an elephant eliminated any chance of some maths being done today.
When in doubt of what to draw, The Beatles is always a winner. It also is getting me in the mood for next month when my boyfriend is taking me to see ‘Let It Be.’
I wasn’t very happy with my original drawing that I uploaded, so I have done some additional work on it especially on the nose. I prefer this version. Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Looper, 50/50, 500 Days of Summer, Batman)

I decided to do an illustration of my interpretation of ‘Ocean Avenue.’ I was imagining a guy in the army, probably one who was having to do National Service, who was taken away from the love of his life to serve his country. The song makes me think of their last night together, and the pain they must have felt. “I remember the look in your eyes When I told you that this was goodbye. You were begging me not tonight. Not here. Not now. We’re looking up at the same night sky, We keep pretending the sun will not rise. We’ll be together for one more night Somewhere. Somehow.”
